Springfield Arts Council

Improv comedy star Colin Mochrie, best known for his work on the TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, is bringing a special show to the Clark State Performing Arts Center alongside master hypnotist Asad Mecci. Hyprov, a combination hypnosis and improv comedy show, presents the two hosts creating a improv ensemble of hypnotized volunteers and letting the hilarity ensue. Niki Dakota of WYSO's Excursions spoke to Mochrie over the phone about the show, and some of his career history and highlights.

Colin Mochrie and Asad Mecci will present Hyprov: Improv Under Hypnosis on Friday, February 14th at the Clark State Performing Arts Center. Ticket information and more can be found at SpringfieldArtsCouncil.org.

Evan Miller is a percussionist, lover of sound, and is probably buying too many cassette tapes online right now. Evan got his start in radio in 2012 at WWSU at Wright State University, where he was studying percussion performance. He followed through with both endeavors and eventually landed a lucrative dual career playing experimental music at home and abroad and volunteering at WYSO. Maintaining a connection to normal music, Evan also plays drums in bands, and fills in for Niki Dakota on Excursions. When not doing something music-related, Evan is most likely listening to podcasts or watching food videos at home with his cat.
