CO-OP FEST is a fundraiser for CO-OP Dayton and a celebration of the movement for a new food market. There’s live music, poetry, food, raffles, and games! It’s at the Yellow Cab Tavern, tonight, 6 to 11pm.
A film titled Hometown Habitat, Stories of Bringing Nature Home has nationally acclaimed filmmaker Catherine Zimmerman coming here to introduce her documentary. It explores how and why native plants are critical to the survival of local ecosystems. You can talk with her after the film. It's at , here in Yellow Springs, on Friday at 7pm.
and Dare2Defy Productions are bringing the sights, sounds, and excitement of the Broadway stage to the elegant Schiewetz Auditorium at the Dayton Masonic Center. This is Saturday, at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm.
Dayton’s first Autumn Tart Baking Contest is Saturday! Enter your tart or just come sample the delicious entries. This is at St. Anne the Tart in downtown Dayton on Saturday beginning at 1pm. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the House of Bread.
On Saturday there’s an African Drumming Workshop and Performance. A famous drummer from the Ivory Coast leads a drumming workshop at 1:30 to 2:30pm, followed by a public performance from 3 to 4pm. on Saturday.
At the there is a stunning exhibition of more than 200 unique pieces of handcrafted art jewelry created by women. It’s called Maker & Muse: Women and Early 20th-Century Art Jewelry and it is there now through January 2020.
