City Opens Rec Centers As 'Warming Centers' During Cold Snap

Freezing temperatures are expected to continue throughout the week, and the city ofDayton has opened several city recreational facilities as warming centers for residents who need a place to escape the cold.

Officials say the warming centers will remain open during regular business hours through Friday, Jan.5. 

Those centers are:  

 

* Greater Dayton Recreation Center, .

* Northwest Recreation Center, 1600 Princeton Ave.

* Lohrey Recreation Center, . The centers are expected to be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
