Dayton SID Program Bringing Benefits To Downtown
This week, the Downtown Dayton Partnership (DDP) released the annual highlights of their ongoing Special Improvement District plan - designed to aid the city with business recruitment and retention, marketing, strategic planning and revitalization efforts.
The plan was the first of its kind in the state and is considered an investment that has paid off, according to SandyGudorfwith the DDP.In this interview withWYSO, she offers some details on how the program has benefited the city.
The Special Improvement District covers most of the downtown area north of US 35, west of Patterson Boulevard and east and south of the Great Miami River. Property owners within that district pay a special tax assessment to fund the program.
A presentation was also recorded live via Facebook Tuesday morning at Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton.
