Chelsea Clinton Campaigns At Sinclair College
Chelsea Clinton appeared at Sinclair Community College on Thursday to campaign for her mom, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Around 300 people gathered inside the school’s conference center where the younger Clinton touched on the candidate’s College Compact plan for higher education.
“She believes that anyone should be able to go to a public college or university, who come from a family making $125,000 or less," She said. "It’s about 90% of Ohio families, that's about 150,000 students who are currently enrolled, should be able to go tuition free and that anybody who goes to college should be able to graduate debt free.”
Clinton then spent more than a half hour taking questions from supporters, who touched on healthcare and women’s reproductive rights. A handful anti-abortion protesters were present outside the conference center during Clinton’s visit.
As polls between Clinton and GOP candidate Donald Trump tighten in Ohio, other democrats are scheduled to campaign through the swing state in the days ahead.
Both U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders will campaign in the state this week. Chelsea Clinton will be back in Ohio for a campaign stop next Thursday in Toledo.
