Local Musician's CD Showcases Trumpet Versatility

Daniel Zehringer is an Associate Professor at Wright State University where he servesas head of the Trumpet studio and coordinator of the Faculty Brass Quintet. He also conducts the Wright State University Trumpet Ensemble.

Zehringer has just released a CD on Navona Records. The recording company says of his new album "JOURNEYMEN’S SONGS showcasesthe versatility of the trumpet on works performed by DanielZehringer. Accompanied by various instruments, including percussion, string bass, and cello, selected compositions by StevenWintereggare themed around time and place."

On Thursday, Zehringer spent time in the WSYO studios with Music Director and Excursions host Niki Dakota, spinning tracks from the CD and playing live.
