Looking Back At A Week Of Protests In Cincinnati And Beyond, Plus More Top Stories

Recent days in Cincinnati have brought to our city a series of daily events in which people call for justice following the deaths of black Americans at the hands of police. The protests here mirror the unrest gripping much of the nation.

Louisville, for example, has become one of the centerpieces of the current debate after two African Americans died after being shot by police.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus pandemic looms in the backdrop of these demonstrations, and a lawsuit brought by a landlord returned the Hamilton County eviction court to session.

And President Donald Trump's photo-op in front of a church while holding a Bible caught the ire of a local Episcopal bishop.

Joining Cincinnati Edition for the weekly news review are Kentucky Public Radio Capital Bureau Chief Ryland Barton; Herald-Leader reporter Daniel Desrochers; Enquirer reporters Dan Horn and Scott Wartman; WKRC reporter James Pilcher; and WVXU Senior Political Analyst Howard Wilkinson.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
