FSO Repeating 1976 And 1990 World Series, Tom Browning's Perfect Game
Sweep! Sweep! Good news for Reds fans in a coronavirus lockdown missing baseball. Fox Sports Ohio will repeat the Reds' World Series sweeps of the New York Yankees in 1976 and the Oakland A's in 1990.
The 1990 World Series airs this week at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, through Saturday, May 2.
The 1976 World Series sweep airs May 13-16.
FSO also will broadcast Tom Browning's 1988 perfect game at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 3, and nine games from 2019 in the next three weeks. The Browning game, which was not televised in 1988, will be a combination of Riverfront Stadium's three-camera in-house feed synced with the radio call by Marty Brennaman and Joe Nuxhall. Pitches are shown from high home camera with occasional cuts to low cameras. A FSO publicist says it was "enhanced with Chris Welsh and Tom Browning talking before each inning about certain aspects of the game."
