Public TV Educational Programs Set For April 6-10

WCET-TV, the nation's first licensed public TV station, brands itself as "CET."
WCET-TV, the nation's first licensed public TV station, brands itself as "CET."

Again Cincinnati's WCET-TV and Dayton's WPTD-TV and other Ohio public TV stations are dropping regular daytime programming to offer a learn-at-home lineup for children while schools are closed during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The revised schedule offers programs for preschoolers through third grade 7-9 a.m.; shows for fourth through eighth grade 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; and high school students 2-6 p.m. on Channels 48.1 and 16.1.

New this week: History Detectives(9 a.m.),Native America(10 a.m.) and Food—Delicious Science(11 a.m).

Viewers also will see more episodes of Great American Read; The Amazing Human Body; Africa's Great Civilizations; Shakespeare Uncovered; Ancient Sky; American Experience: Influenza 1918; The Roosevelts: An Intimate History; American Experience: Chasing The Moonand  American Experience: Polio.
