Heart Mini Marathon Closes Some Streets and Detours Some Metro Routes This Weekend

The Heart Mini Marathon takes place on Sunday, March 10, and as such some streets Downtown and in the riverfront areas, as well as parts of Columbia Parkway will be closed. This also affects some bus routes. 

Street Closures

Beginning at 4:30 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. Sunday, the following streets will be closed: 

  • Fifth Street between Walnut Street and Columbia Parkway; also closed between Culvert Street and Eggleston Avenue 
  • Fourth Street operates as a two-way between Broadway and Pike Street 
  • Lawrence Street 
  • Main Street between Fourth Street and Sixth Street 
  • Sycamore Street between Fourth Street and Seventh Street 
  • Broadway closed between Fourth Street and Seventh Street 
  • Sentinel Street between Culvert Street and Fifth Street 
  • Sixth Street between Columbia Parkway and Walnut Street, as well as the exit ramp from I-471 
  • Seventh Street between Broadway and Culvert Street 
  • Culvert Street between Reedy Street and Third Street 
  • E. Pete Rose Way between Eggleston Avenue and Broadway 
  • Riverside Drive eastbound between Eggleston Avenue and Bains Street 
  • E. Mehring Way between Joe Nuxhall Way and E. Pete Rose Way 
  • Eggleston Avenue (southbound only) between Reedy Street and E. Pete Rose Way 
  • Taylor Southgate Bridge 
  • Columbia Parkway between Fifth Street and Delta Avenue 
  • Kemper Lane between Riverside Drive and Francis Lane 
  • Martin Street access ramp to westbound Columbia Parkway 
  • Taft Road between Collins Avenue and Columbia Parkway 
  • Torrence Parkway between Herrick Avenue and Columbia Parkway 


Metro 

These closures will affect some bus routes. Detours will begin at 4 a.m. and run until approximately 3 p.m affecting the below lines:
