Trump Chooses Ken Blackwell To Lead Domestic Transition

Published reports say President-elect Donald Trump has picked former Cincinnati Mayor, Ohio Treasurer and Secretary of State Ken Blackwell to lead his domestic transition team.

The Associated Press obtained an organizational chart for the transition team and reports former Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers, who used to work for the FBI is leading national security planning. Joseph "Keith" Kellogg, a retired Army Lt. general, is heading defense planning. Blackwell will handle domestic issues.

According to our news partner WCPO, "A Republican with knowledge of the process told The Associated Press that Blackwell has been at work for Trump since the summer, vetting potential appointees for U.S. domestic agencies. The person wasn't authorized to disclose the details publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. The Republican said it was unclear whether Blackwell would be considered for, or willing to accept, an administrative position."

WCPO said a Trump spokesman did not respond to questions about the team, but key allies rejected the notion he was behind schedule of where he should be in transition planning.

Blackwell is a senior fellow at the Family Research Council. He is also on the boards of the National Rifle Association and Club for Growth.
