A new book explores how and why some individuals are able to succeed while under tremendous stress and pressure.

Pro athletes, surgeons, first responders, they all perform amazing feats while under a high amount of stress. So why do they thrive under pressure, while others don’'t?

Dr. George Everly Jr. and his two co-authors, Douglas Strouse and Dennis McCormack, studied the actions of Navy SEALS and others who succeed despite the odds. In their book, “Stronger: Develop the Resilience You Need to Succeed,” they identify the factors that separate the best from the rest. George Everly talks with us about what he and his co-authors discovered in their research and interviews for the book.
