Annual Holiday Tradition Opens Saturday At Krohn Conservatory

According to Krohn Conservatory, "The Poinsettia Express is blossoming with the sweet twist of peppermint this season."

The annual Krohn Holiday Show opens Saturday Nov. 13, complete with red and white poinsettias, amaryllis, trains, a Cincinnati landmarks constructed of gourds, sticks, leaves, etc.

The show runs through Jan. 3, 2015.

Many of your classic favorites are back along with a few new surprises.

The North Pole, including Santa's Workshop, has been moved into the main display room this year.

A historic throwback to the days of Cincinnati's inclines

The Genius of Water spins slowly near the Taft House.

Applied Imagination is the company behind the organic sculptures.

Tana Weingartner

Tana Weingartner earned a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in mass communication from Miami University. Most recently, she served as news and public affairs producer with WMUB-FM. Ms. Weingartner has earned numerous awards for her reporting, including several Best Reporter awards from the Associated Press and the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists, and a regional Murrow Award. She served on the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Board of Directors from 2007 - 2009.
