The Center for Christian Virtue is putting up billboards around Columbus, telling parents they can use Ohio EdChoice scholarships to move their students out of Columbus City Schools.

The Center for Christian Virtue is opening the first of what it hopes to be many schools inside church buildings.

The new bill that would expand educational vouchers to allow K-12 public students in Ohio to attend private schools with state dollars had its first hearing in the Ohio House Finance committee.

The two groups have both actively spoken out and advocated for legislation over the years, and often meet with and feature Republican lawmakers at their press conferences.

A battle over whether to legalize marijuana is taking shape at the Ohio Statehouse. The lines are being drawn and groups that usually support each other on issues are finding they are at odds on this one.

The law, which was signed just before Christmas, limits which doctors can work at clinics that require variances to operate.

Sponsors of the bill say children under 18 should not receive hormone blockers or surgery to transition to a different gender.

The legislation, known as the "backpack bill," allows universal vouchers for all students, regardless of family income.
