If Ohio State is going to beat Utah in the Rose Bowl, they'll have to do so without a growing list of their best players.

Wide receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere and defensive tackle Haskell Garrett announced Monday that they will skip the New Year's Day bowl game to focus on their professional career.

Wilson made his announcement first on Twitter.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day announced the decisions by Olave, Petit-Frere and Garrett later in the day during media availability in California.

Wilson and Olave made up what most considered the best pair of wide receivers in the nation. They combined for 135 receptions for 1,994 yards and 25 touchdowns this season. Olave also broke the school career record for receiving touchdowns at 35.
