Roman Iqbal, who has been fired by CAIR-Ohio for allegedly working with an anti-Muslim hate group, speaks at the Ohio Statehouse on Sept. 17, 2019.

Last month, the former leader of the local Muslim civil rights and advocacy group Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was fired and accused of sending confidential information to an anti-Muslim group.

CAIR-Ohio said it terminated Romin Iqbal for providing information to the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

We’ll discuss how this scandal has affected the community and what it means for the organization moving forward.
