Election day 2021 is a week out, and county boards of election are still working to recruit poll workers, particularly in Ohio’s big cities. That’s even during an off-year with typically lower turnout.

Still, Central Ohio voters have lots to decide on November 2.

There’s the special election in the Ohio 15th Congressional district to replace Republican Steve Stivers, who resigned in May to head the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.

Republican Mike Carey, a coal lobbyist who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump is up against Democratic state Rep. Allison Russo in a district, which gerrymandered to favor a Republican and includes parts of urban and suburban Columbus and extends south into rural appalachia Ohio.

Columbus voters will decide what has been branded as a green energy initiative but has critics saying that it could siphon millions of dollars from the city budget with minimal oversight.

Today on All Sides with Ann Fishers quick voter's guide for central Ohio.
