Ohio House Democratic Leader Emilia Sykes, Senate President Matt Huffman, House Speaker Bob Cupp, both Republicans, and Democratic state Sen. Republican Senate President Matt Huffman last week defended the new Ohio legislative district maps, drawn by a Republican-controlled panel to maintain GOP supermajorities at the statehouse.

However, Ohio Democratic Party Chair Liz Walters said Republicans ignored their constitutional duty to draw fair maps that Ohio voters demanded in 2015.
