The Big Ten Conference announced Tuesday that the fall sports season, including football, would be postponed due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns.

Fall sports affected by the decision: men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.

The committee left open the possibility of those sports competing in the spring.
