Understanding Plastic Bans

GOP lawmakers could stop a Bexley ban on plastic bags if the state legislature passes two bills before the end of the year.

These bills, House Bill 242 and Senate Bill 222, would prohibit the government from imposing fees on plastic bags, boxes, and cups often given out at restaurants and stores. 

This follows the trend of banning single-use plastics, which have become more prevalent in cities and states all across the United States.
