The United States incarcerates the highest number of people in the world at the highest rate in the world, and sometimes wrongly.

That’s the topic of award-winning journalist and author Kyle Swenson’s new book, where he covers the story of three Cleveland men who each served 39 years in prison for a crime they did not commit.

Today on All Sides, Swenson joins us to talk about it and wrongful convictions in America.

Guests:

  • Kyle Swenson, Washington Post reporter, author, “Good Kids, Bad City: A Story of Race and Wrongful Conviction in America”
