Johnny Football is drafted by the Cleveland Browns, and Steve Brown can’t be happier. Join Thomas Bradley and Steve on WOSU Public Media’s After The Score as they recap the exciting first round of the 2014 NFL draft with Rob Oller of the Columbus Dispatch.

Johnny Manziel was taken by the Cleveland Browns with the 22nd pick in the draft and Justin Gilbert was taken with the 10th pick in the draft. We also recap the important, but not as exciting, night for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Also, there were two Ohio State Buckeyes drafted in round 1 Thursday night.

Clippers Memories

As a kid, Steve loved making the trip into Columbus to watch Clippers games. Little did he know he could have been sitting next to a future colleague: Bill Cohen.

The long-time public radio reporter is a huge Clippers fan, and spent decades attending games in Cooper Stadium. Work recently began to turn the old Franklinton park into a racetrack and automotive center, so we thought we'd sit down with Bill to reminisce on Cooper Stadium.

Jim Tressel

Three years after leaving Ohio State University in disgrace, Jim Tressel is a college president. On Friday, trustees at Youngstown State University voted to select the former YSU coach as the school's next president. How did he turn his career from a coach of a major college program to a university president in almost exactly three years?
