An Ohio State University student died during spring break, according to a university spokesperson.

Henry Meacock, of Westfield, New Jersey, was studying finance at Ohio State at the time of his death.

The university released the following statement, “The Ohio State community has suffered a tragic loss, and we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Henry Meacock.”

A cause of death had not been released as of Friday afternoon.

Meacock's family also commented about his passing on social media.

Classes at Ohio State are set to resume Monday.
