Former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel is leaving his job as President of Youngstown State University.

In a message published on Youngstown State University's Twitter, Tressel said he wants to spend more time with his family and friends.

Tressel led the Buckeyes football team for 10 years. He resigned in 2011 following an NCAA investigation that found five football players had sold personal memorabilia in exchange for tattoos.

His last day at Youngstown State is February 1.
