Ohio State University has identified two students that died last week after reportedly overdosing.

Jessica Lopez, 22, was a Computer & Information Science major from Greendale, Indiana.

Tiffany Iler, 21, was a Neuroscience major from Broadview Heights, Ohio, near Cleveland.

"We are heartbroken and extend our deepest sympathies to their families and friends during this extremely difficult time," a university spokesman said in a statement Monday.

The women were taken to hospitals after a roommate reported the overdoses Wednesday at an off-campus residence on East Lane Avenue.

A third student was also briefly hospitalized and released. Columbus Police have not confirmed what substance was involved in the overdoses.

Columbus Public Health and the university issued a warning last week about fake Adderall pills that contain fentanyl.
