The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center will open a new outpatient center in Dublin. This is the third clinic Ohio State has announced as part of an expansion of its ambulatory care network.

"The services that we've selected are about taking care of people before they get sick," says Dan Like, executive director for ambulatory services at the Wexner Medical Center. "So really investing into primary care, mental health services, so really preventative services."

Pending approval by university trustees, Ohio State will acquire land for the care center from the city of Dublin. The hope is that all university based care facilities in Dublin can be consolidated into one large building.

"We're really trying to make access to our services the most convenient as possible for our patients," Like says, "because we know working at Ohio State, we're sometimes not the easiest to get to."

Like says the timeline for construction has not been determined
