Hillary Clinton will be making a stop in the Columbus area one day before the state’s voter registration deadline.

According to Clinton’s campaign, the Democratic presidential candidate will be in the Columbus area, October 10. No specific location or time has been given.

On Thursday, Clinton’s campaign asked Florida’s Governor Rick Scott for more time to register voters, as a result of Hurricane Matthew – a request Scott rejected.

Clinton tweeted: “Hurricane Matthew is a major storm. … Stay safe Florida.”

Both Clinton and Trump stayed far away from Florida, preparing for their second debate, a town hall-style faceoff on Sunday in St. Louis. Trump was holding a dry run town hall in Sandown, New Hampshire, while Clinton was speaking at fundraisers in New York.
