A central Ohio woman has been charged with injecting her father with a lethal dose of heroin.

A grand jury in Franklin County on Friday indicted 27-year-old Lindsay M. Newkirk on counts of involuntary manslaughter and corrupting another with drugs.

Prosecutors say she injected a lethal dose of heroin into the arm of her father, 55-year-old Leonard P. Newkirk, in February.

Authorities say she injected herself in the arm, and then injected her father. When she woke up the following morning, her father was unresponsive.

She is set for arraignment Wednesday. Online records did not list an attorney who could comment on her behalf.
