Columbus Police were searching Friday morning for a man charged with killing his wife a day earlier.

Police say Lenzell Wetson shot his wife Monique inside their home on Northcliff Drive on the northeast side Thursday afternoon. The shooting came as her four children were home.

Her death came a day after Monique Weston called police to say Lenzell hit her, causing her to fall and hit her head.

Court records show in the last three years, Lenzell Weston has been charged with domestic violence 10 times and convicted once.
