An apparent drive-by shooting Tuesday morning on Columbus' south side injured an 11 year old boy.

The incident happened about 7:30.  Columbus Police found the little boy inside the home at 1956 S. 9th Street on Columbus' south side.   He was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Columbus police spokeswoman Denise Bouzounis says it's not known if the boy was the target.

"We're told that the van stopped in front of 1956 S. 9th, fired at least two shots into a front window.  And an 11 year old boy was shot," said Bouzounis.

Police are looking for at least one suspect who was in a gold colored minivan that traveled northbound on South 9th Street after the shooting.
