Contractor: Plan Was Flawed In Deadly Overpass Collapse
A highway construction company says a flawed demolition plan contributed to the collapse of an overpass that killed a worker in Cincinnati last month. A statement released Saturday by Kokosing Construction says it has shared the preliminary findings with federal and state investigators. The company's top executive tells The Cincinnati Enquirer that he's very sorry and deeply troubled by the findings. The company says there were key details missing from the demolition plan. Kokosing says the plan was flawed from the beginning, but it's also looking at changes made just before the collapse. The parents of 35-year-old Brandon Carl of Augusta, Kentucky, are suing Ohio's Department of Transportation.
