Three of the states four casinos saw declines in revenue last month. But as WOSU reports, January revenue is up compared to this time last year. The Hollywood Casino Columbus was the only casino in the state to post positive revenue gains last month. Columbus grossed $17.8 million in January, a modest 3 percent increase. Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo all took revenue hits last month. Cleveland saw the sharpest decline: 18 percent. Cincinnati and Toledo revenues were down 11 and 5 percent, respectively. While Januarys numbers may sound concerning, overall, statewide totals are up compared to this time last year. Ohios four casinos grossed nearly $65 million last month.
