Dems' 2016 Convention Chair Revisits Sites Of Columbus

Democratic National Committee delegation has returned to Columbus as a decision nears on a host city for the party's 2016 convention. A source close to the Columbus 2016 committee said DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and a small cadre were testing walking distances Monday between the Convention Center and various hotels and attractions in the Arena District and Short North areas. The source requested anonymity because the visit was closed to the press. The group also plans return visits to the two other finalist cities - Philadelphia and Brooklyn, New York - this week. If Columbus is picked, it would be the first time in U.S. history that two cities in the same state hosted the parties' conventions. Republicans have picked Cleveland for their 2016 convention.
