Former OSU Football Player Charged With Assaulting Child

Former Ohio State football player Kenny Hayes has been charged with felonious assault and two counts of endangering children. Franklin County prosecutors say Hayes called 9-1-1 last month to report injuries to his girlfriend's five year old son. Prosecutors say those injuries were similar to those of shaken baby syndrome. Hayes was a defensive lineman at OSU before leaving the team in 2012 when he transferred to the University of Toledo.
