Snow Followed By Bitter Cold

A day after battling snowy roadways, Central Ohioans are fighting the cold. Temperatures are expected to hover near 10 degrees today before falling to -seven degrees below zero, with wind chills as cold as -22. "I hate the cold," Columbus resident Rachel Miller said as she walked to work on North High Street. "I wear as many layers as possible, but yesterday, I had on about 50 layers and was sweating all the way to work." Walking near the OSU campus, Cara Bird wasn't "sweating it" as much. "It's not like last year. I have a new standard after that," Bird joked. Last January brought five days of sub-zero temperatures, with the thermometer dipping as low as -11.
