The head of the Ohio Board of Education says she will not seek re-election to that panel. Board President Debe Terhar shared that decision in an email released by the Ohio Department of Education on Wednesday. She described the reasons for her decision as "multi-faceted and deeply personal" but didn't elaborate. As an elected member of the board, she has represented Hamilton and Warren counties in southwest Ohio. She says she's proud of the board's work during her tenure and will finish out her four-year term, which expires at the end of the year.
