Ohio Wildlife Rehab Center Aims To Save Bald Eagle
Workers at a wildlife rehabilitation center in northern Ohio have been spending the last three months trying to save a female bald eagle hit by a plane. The eagle has been through two surgeries to repair a broken wing since it was injured at an airport near Port Clinton. Just last week, the eagle managed to fly to a perch 8 or 9 feet above the ground. Workers at the center near Lake Erie say that they hope to release the eagle late this summer. But first their next goal is to get the eagle into a larger flight cage where she can practice making turns.
