Ohio Gov. To Give State Of The State Speech In Lima

Ohio Gov. John Kasich will deliver his annual State of the State speech February 19 in Lima, taking the annual address outside the capital city for the second year in a row. Kasich has selected the city, about 100 miles west of Columbus for the traditional joint legislative session. The choice will require lawmakers, Supreme Court justices, as well as Cabinet officials and statewide officeholders to make the trip. Kasich made history last year by taking the annual address on the road for the first time in modern memory with a speech in eastern Ohio's Steubenville. Justices were unable to attend because court was in session, and some statewide officeholders and legislators either couldn't or chose not to go.
