Poll: Race For U.S. Senate Is Narrowing
A new poll gives Dem. Sherrod Brown an edge over Rep. Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel in the race for the U.S. Senate. The survey from Quinnipiac University gives the incumbent Brown a 46-to-40 edge over Mandel. The poll is the first showing the contest has narrowed to within single digits. The same polls gives President Obama a 45-to-44 percent over Republican challenger mitt Romney, but that lead is within the poll's margin of error. The poll says the gender gap remains substantial, within female voters backing both Democrats and male voters supporting the Republicans.
