Cleveland Casino Swamped With Job Applications
Cleveland's casino has received 16,000 applicants for the 750 non-gaming job openings it posted on Monday. The casino reports that it has already taken down about half of the 40 job postings because of the overwhelming response. A spokeswoman says each posting covered multiple positions. The Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland is slated to open in March with 2,011 slot machines, 63 table games and a 30-table poker room. Caesars Entertainment properties is developing the Cleveland casino with Rock Gaming, led by Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. Rock Ohio Caesars expects the Cleveland casino to employ 1,600 and attract 5 million visitors a year. Casinos also are planned in Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo. All four were approved by voters in 2009.
