Ohio Man Convicted In HIV Notifying Case

A Cincinnati jury has convicted a former professional wrestler of 14 felonious assault counts for having sex with multiple women without telling them he had tested positive for the virus that causes AIDS. Jurors deliberated nine hours over two days before returning their verdict Wednesday against 29-year-old Andre Davis of Cincinnati, who used stage names that included Gangsta of Love, Sweet Sexy Sensation and Andre Heart. Prosecutors said Davis violated state law by not telling or lying to a dozen sex partners about his HIV status. Defense attorneys challenged whether it was proven that Davis was HIV-positive and pointed at accusers for having unprotected sex with multiple partners. World Wrestling Entertainment told Davis in 2009 that it wouldn't hire him because he failed a physical by testing positive for HIV.
