Ohio Tea Party Groups Propose Way for State to Opt Out of Federal Healthcare Reform

Ohio Tea Party groups are planning to propose a state constitutional amendment to allow Ohio to opt out of the health care bill passed Sunday in the U.S. House.

The Ohio Liberty Council says they filed with two state agencies summary language and more than 2900 signatures from registered voters.

The council describes their filing as the "nation's first citizen-initiated action" to block individual mandates contained in the health care measure.
