Two Aides to Former AG Marc Dann Plead Guilty to Ethics Charges

Two top aides to former Attorney General Marc Dann Thursday pleaded guilty to misdemeanor ethics charges after investigations that followed Dann's resignation in 2008.

Dann's former chief of staff Edgar Simpson was fined $1,000 and given until July 1, 2010 to pay the amount in full. Former communications chief Leo Jennings was fine $1,000 on each of two charges. Jennings also received two years probation and was ordered to serve 50 hours of community service.

Dann admitted having an affair with a subordinate and later resigned following a sexual harassment scandal in his office.
