Ohio Does Not Want Strickland as Vice President
A poll suggests Ohio voters do not want to see Governor Ted Strickland on the Democrats' 2008 ticket. Strickland has been mentioned as a potential vice presidential candidate, though he has said he's not interested. And that's fine with 49 percent of registered voters in the state who don't believe he is qualified for the job. Twenty-nine percent say he is,and the rest aren't sure. The latest Quinnipiac University poll also found 53 percent, including 47 percent of Strickland's fellow Democrats said they would not like to see him run for vice president. Sixty-eight percent say the governor's presence as a running mate would make no difference in whether they vote for a certain presidential candidate.
