Ohio Voters Might Decide Adult Business Law

Strip-club owners and dancers will try to get voters to overturn recently approved restrictions that will forbid touching of strippers and nude dancing after midnight.

Sandy Theis, a spokeswoman for a group representing strip-club owners, says opponents to the measure are collecting signatures to put the issue on the November ballot.

Opponents must collect about 240-thousand signatures to get the issue on the ballot.

That number equals six percent of the total vote cast in last year's governor's race.

Theis says the law -- which isn't scheduled to go into effect until September Fourth -- is already hurting business at strip clubs. (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
