US Congresswoman Deborah Pryce Still Leads Race
The race still continues in the 15th congressional district. Incumbent US Congresswoman Deborah Pryce continues to lead her democratic challenger Mary Jo Kilroy after more votes are counted.
GOP Congresswoman Deborah Pryce gained about 75 votes after the Union and Madison Counties Boards of Elections released unofficial totals. Now Pryce has about a 3,600 vote lead over Franklin County Commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy. Franklin County began scanning its absentee ballots Monday and will begin tabulating provisional ballots Friday. The Franklin County Board of Elections is set to meet the Monday following Thanksgiving. The board will rule on any disputed provisional ballots, and the official results of the General Election will be announced. Kilroy needs about 58 percent of the provisional and absentee ballots to seize a victory.
