Music in Mid-Ohio: Conductor Peter Stafford Wilson
Peter Stafford Wilson is one of my favorite people.
He’s the past Associate Conductor of the Columbus Symphony, with over twenty years of service.
Peter is currently music director of the Springfield Symphony, the Westerville Symphony at Otterbein University, and the Tulsa Ballet.
He was a protégé of the late Thomas Schippers at the College-Conservatory of the University of Cincinnati. He can cook, he can golf and he can conduct. He does all three all over the United States.
I’ve worked with him. You haven’t lived until Peter Stafford Wilson corrects you in rehearsal with a North Carolina drawl, “That’s a quarter note, honeychile”
Peter’s wife Barb is an executive with White Castle and on her worst day is smarter than all of us combined.
I asked Peter to update us on "My Life at Home." Watch below.
There’ll be plenty of concerts and ballets to come, whenever life gets back to...well…life. Until then, we all stay home, wash our hands, and watch Peter Stafford Wilson in action, thanks to WOSU’s Broad and High.
