Music icons such as The Commodores and Pink Martini will be visiting our fair city this month for the Picnic With The Pops series hosted by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Classical 101 has the details.

This weekend, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra will take the stage alongside American music icons, The Commodores with conductor Albert-George Schram.

You might recognize American funk/soul band, The Commodores from a few of their hits such as “Brick House,” “Night Shift,” “Three Times a Lady,” “Easy,” and “Lady (You Bring Me Up).” The group signed with Motown Records in 1972, openned for the illustrious Jackson 5, and still perform with their five-piece band in stadia and concert halls around the world today.
