Columbus International Children's Choir Goes to Carnegie Hall
The Columbus International Children's Choir, conducted by Tatiana Kats, travels to New York next week for a performance in Carnegie Hall on June 27.
The choir won the gold medal at the 2012 and 2014 World Choir Games. Next week's concert is the choir's second appearance at Carnegie Hall.
CICC was founded by Tatiana Kats in 2003. I've worked with the choir in last years' production of Pagliacci with Opera Project Columbus. The kids were great, smart, musical and well trained. Carnegie Hall is lucky.
My buddy Tim Sarsany, artistic director of the Columbus Gay Men's Chorus, was commissioned to write a new anthem for the Columbus International Children's Choir to perform in New York. Tim's a many faceted threat - composer, conductor, arranger, singer and sweetheart. He and his entourage will travel to Carnegie Hall for the choir's performance of 'Singetdem Herrenein Neues Lied":
"Sing to the Lord a New Song!"
Here's a free preview of Tim's new work and the Columbus International Children's Choir. I wish them Godspeed, a blast in New York, a safe return home, and many more concerts! Bravo!
