A Very British Twelfth Night with The Early Interval
"On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me period-correct recorders, bass dulcian, crumhorns, medieval and Renaissance harps, violas da gamba, medieval lute, theorbo, Renaissance and Baroque guitars, rebec, vielle, violin and pipe and tabor." Okay, these may not be the original lyrics, but it is what I will be singing this week. This Saturday and Sunday, Columbus's early music ensemble The Early Interval will be presenting a very British Twelfth Night performance with music from 12th through 17th centuries from Great Britain. If you enjoy medieval carols lute music as much as I do, you can enjoy the concert this Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 8:00 PM (7:30 PM Pre-Concert Lecture) or Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 3:30 PM (3:00 PM Pre-Concert Lecture) at the First Congregational Church of Columbus.
